Joint Keynote Presentation: Green Sinks - An Important Tool for Stormwater Management and Flood Mitigation
Brian Storz
Brian has a Ph.D. in Biology from Florida State University and a B.Sc. from the University of California, Davis. He spent most of his career in academia, and with some 20 years of experience working as an aquatic ecologist, Brian brings a whole-systems approach to his position as the Nonpoint Source Stormwater Coordinator and Basin Coordinator for Kentucky Division of Water. Working with the stakeholders, scientists, volunteers, government entities, and communities, he is working to reduce the impacts of flooding in Kentucky communities, reduce nonpoint source pollution in our stormwater runoff, and engaging communities to improve and care for their local waterways along the way.
Rodney Fouch
Rodney Fouch was employed by the City in 2017. He graduated from both Rowan County Senior High School and Morehead State University, and holds a Bachelors degree (BBA) in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from MSU. He has been a businessman in Morehead for over 30 years. His daughter attends MSU and his son is a physician at the University of Kentucky, attending MSU and UK School of Medicine. Rodney is the City’s Level 1 residential and commercial building inspector, serves as City Planner and Administrator and Floodplain Administrator.
